Lourdes Pereira is Hia-Ced O’odham and Yoeme and a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation coming from the San Lucy District. Lourdes is a senior at ASU, majoring in American Indian Studies and minoring in Justice Studies. She works for Labriola National American Indian Datacenter at Arizona State University and is a research assistant for Trevor Reed an Indigenous Associate Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law specializing in Indigeous Intellectual Property Law at Arizona State University. Currently she is the Hia-Ced Hemijkam LLC archivist and the former Miss Indigenous ASU 2020-2022. Lourdes is passionate about empowering and advocating for Indigenous communities.
